Originally attending UCF while working at Center for the Distributed Learning in a variety of positions, Jessica Vargas now works as an instructional technologist at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. There she works with faculty members to integrate appropriate technologies to enhance curriculum design using either learning management systems: Blackboard and Canvas. She implements various emerging technologies (e.g. wikis, blogs, etc.) into the online classroom space and provides training to students and faculty alike. In particular her expertise lies with using audio/video tools, the Adobe Systems software, and Microsoft Office suite. She is also responsible for maintaining the department’s Academic and Training website. She is ecstatic to be part of the team that makes technology integration in the Rollins classroom happen.
