Ms. van Putten is an Instructional Designer for the Center for Learning and Teaching at Binghamton University. Her areas of interest include faculty development, creating learning communities, non-traditional learners, and distance education delivery. Cherie has served as co-PI on both the Tools of Engagement Project (TOEP): On-demand Discovery Learning Professional Development and #EmTechMOOC (Emerging Technologies for Lifelong Learning and Success). Cherie is the recipient of two SUNY Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2) Excellence in Instructional Support awards and four Open SUNY Effective Practice Awards.
