Lucy Biederman is an assistant professor of writing at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. She has been teaching online courses since 2014. She is the author of The Walmart Book of the Dead, which won the 2017 Vine Leaves Press Vignette Award, was a Finalist for the Foreword Book of the Year in the Fantasy category, and has been adapted for the stage. She has written four chapbooks of poetry, and her short stories, essays, and poems have appeared in North American Review, Poetry, AGNI, Ploughshares, and Pleiades. Her scholarship has been published in The Henry James Review, Women’s Studies, The Emily Dickinson Journal, and Studies in the Literary Imagination.
