Shannon McCarty

Shannon McCartyShannon McCarty is the Associate Vice President for the Center for Innovation in Learning. She currently leads the online operations at National University.  This includes instructional design, Office of Teaching and Learning Strategies, Multi-media production and research and development. She has previously served as a Dean of Instruction and Academic Affairs and Faculty Chair for the Physical Sciences Department. Other accomplishments include being the primary investigator over a Department of Education’s First in the World grant and a Gates Foundation Next Generation Learning Grant focused on student retention and success. Shannon is passionate about integrating predictive analytics to improve teaching and learning.  She holds a BA in Biology from the University of Arizona, a MA in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University and a PhD in Professional Studies from Capella University.
