Dr. Tommi Barrett-Greenly is an Instructional Designer (ID) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Her responsibilities at UCF involve facilitating the design and development of online courses through a combination of face-to-face interaction, just-in-time training and ongoing professional development for faculty. She also serves as an on-call Training Analyst for Camber Corporation in Orlando, and supports both design and quality assurance efforts in the development of training courses for the Navy and other organizations. She earned an Ed.D. from the University of Delaware in Educational Leadership (with specialization areas in Educational Technology and Curriculum) in 2013, as well as an M.Ed. in Educational Technology in 2010. She also has a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Education. Dr. Barrett-Greenly is experienced in educational technology curriculum research, planning, and design for both K – 12 and adult learning, with emphasis on instructional technologies. She has over ten years teaching experience, including K-12 students and undergraduate adult learners. In 2009, she was honored to be named Teacher of the Year for the Milford School District in Delaware. During her years as a teacher, she also completed two summer internships as a writer for NASA (Technical Writer-2008, News Media/Public Affairs-2009), and now serves as a NASA Student Ambassador.
